Hello,

I'm interested in placing an ad in your State Hornet Newsletter for the month of February, and I would like more information on how to go about it. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your time.

Hi Judi,

We would be happy to host your newsletter ad. We have a couple of different newsletters per week, usually a General News newsletter and then a Sports-focused newsletter. We would run your ad in both newsletters during the week you pay for adspace, with the option to extend the contract if you desire.

Newsletter ads are $250.00 per week and we offer a discounted rate of $750.00 for a four-week newsletter ad run.

Please let me know if you would like to proceed and I can provide a contract for your review.

Thanks,

Hi Judi,

I will get a contract drawn up this week – can you tell me a little more about the company/org to be advertised?

Thanks,

Fernando

Yes, thank you Fernando. I would like to place an ad in your weekly newsletter for the month of February, and I would like to inquire about rates as well as review your contract. The ad is for my website. In the pages and posts you will find things of great academic interest as well as my plight and cause. I would like it to read as follows:

"Have you ever seen the stars on the other side of the Sun? The Last Human On Earth is breaking the fourth wall! Check it out at TheLastHumanOnEarth.com All Rights Reserved"

Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Judi,

Unfortunately, the State Hornet policies prevent us from running advertisements for personal websites. Because we are a student-run news organization, we have restrictions on the types of paid advertising we can accept.

My apologies, but we must decline your ad. Thank you for your interest.

Thank you,

Mr. Gallo,

I know that your institution doesn't care about my plight or cause, but I think what you mean to say is that your academic department doesn't want to be humiliated and made to look completely stupid and incompetent in their own newspaper by the real and true prodigy genius of a high school dropout. I'm sure that if you actually bothered to ask the students paying for your educational disservice all of them would agree.

Nonetheless, as a courtesy, I will post our correspondence on my website at no cost to your students that find their way to my website by other means.

Best,

Judi Kottler

Hi Judi,

Apologies that I’m just getting back to you! Our newsletters are currently full for the remainder of February. We do offer online banner ads starting at $500 per week. Is that of interest?

Thank you for your response. That's too bad about the Newsletter. I guess I should have inquired sooner, but I didn't realize it would sellout so quickly. May I inquire as to whether the banner ad may be fixed and/or alternate with other ads?

Thanks again,

Judi

Hi Judi-

Yes the newsletters are very popular and book about 4-6 weeks in advance. As for the banner ads, they will rotate with other ads throughout the website. With $500 per week, you will get 25,000 impressions which means your ad will pop up 25,000 times. Do you have a start date in mind?

Wow! You ARE very popular! The most popular news media I have contacted! But I'm afraid that's a little too kitschy for my interests.
